DuraGuard GC Columns
Deactivated fused silica tubing is commonly added to the front of an analytical column to act as a guard. Improper installation can lead to issues, peak shape problems, and leaks associated with unions. To eliminate these problems, J&W DuraGuard columns are made with a single, continuous piece of tubing, consisting of a built-in length of deactivated fused silica tubing and an analytical column. Difficult samples, such as pesticides or drugs, can be analyzed without any undesirable contributions from the unions.
