CD56
IVD
Anti-human CD56 antibodies for use in flow cytometry. These single-color reagents are of value to the study of myelomas.
CD56 is the prototypic marker of human natural killer (NK) cells and it is also present on a subset of CD4-positive and CD8-positive T cells in peripheral blood. In tissues, CD56 antigen is found in the cerebellum and cortex of the brain, and at neuromuscular junctions. Additionally, CD56 is also present in certain large granular lymphocyte leukaemias, small cell lung carcinomas, neuralderived tumours, myelomas, and myeloid leukaemias.
