Smart SPME Fibers

Agilent offers smart Solid Phase Microextraction (SPME) fibers that are fully backwards compatible to PAL3 Series I. (They can be installed and utilized on a Non-SMART RTC rail without the SMART capabilities.). Each smart SPME fiber is equipped with a unique Smart chip containing parameters, ranges, and usage history for the specific fiber. Agilent Smart SPME fibers are color coded for easy optical identification of coating type and thickness. Whether you are a new SPME user or switching to smart technology, you can be confident that performance of Agilent Smart SPME fibers remains of the highest quality.

Determination of VOCs in Water by GC/MS After HS-SPME

Headspace-solid-phase microextraction (HS-SPME) is traditionally a reliable and advantageous sampling method for the determination of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in water. With the PAL SPME Arrow, VOCs in water can now be detected at least one order of magnitude lower than its SPME fiber predecessor. Method repeatability and linearity are on par for both techniques. In addition, the improved mechanical reliability of PAL SPME Arrow can assist the analytical method accuracy and precision.

1,4-Dioxane Analysis in Consumer Products by SPME and Triple Quadrupole GC/MS

A sensitive, robust, and selective method for low level detection of 1,4-dioxane in consumer products, including cosmetics, liquid soaps, shampoos, and cleaning products, is described. The extraction was performed using an Agilent PAL3 autosampler with solid phase microextraction (SPME) tool. The analysis was performed on an attached Agilent 7890 GC with a 7000 triple quadrupole GC/MS using MassHunter software.
