Integrin Beta-6 (Concentrate)
ASR

Integrins are a large family of transmembrane receptors that mediate cell-cell and cell-extracellular matrix (ECM) interactions, playing essential roles in cellular adhesion, migration, survival, and cytokinesis. Each functional integrin is a heterodimer composed of one alpha and one beta subunit. Integrin beta-6 (also referred to as integrin β6) is unique in that it exclusively pairs with the alpha-v (αv) subunit to form the αvβ6 heterodimer. Integrin beta-6 is minimally expressed in most healthy adult tissues, primarily restricted to certain epithelial cells such as the bronchiolar epithelium of the lung. However, it is markedly upregulated in a variety of solid tumors.1
Clone 6.2A1 is an IgG1 monoclonal antibody that recognizes integrin beta-6 (β6) without blocking its functional interactions2.
