Reagent Provided	Polyclonal rabbit Anti-Human IgA conjugate produced from a purified immunoglobulin fraction of rabbit antiserum. Provided in liquid form in phosphate buffer containing 15 mmol/L NaN3, pH 7.2.

Specificity	The antibody reacts with the α-chain of human IgA. Traces of contaminating antibodies have been removed by solid-phase absorption. In crossed immunoelectrophoresis, only the IgA precipitation arch appears when using 25 μL antibody per cm2 gel area against 2 μL human plasma. Staining: Coomassie Brilliant Blue. In indirect ELISA, no reaction is seen with human IgG and IgM. In double antibody sandwich ELISA, no reaction is observed with human plasma stripped of IgA. In immunofluorescence, when tested at a dilution of 1:20-1:40 on formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tonsil sections, the antibody gives a strong and specific staining of IgA containing cells.
