Specificity	Western blotting and immunohistochemical reactivity of the antibody is identical with that of CD43-clustered antibodies. Additionally the antibody reacts strongly with COS-7 cells (monkey kidney cell line) transfected with the CD43 gene, while control cells transfected with the vector only are negative (4). The antibody causes rapid and vigorous aggregation among normal leukocytes and among T and myeloid/monocytic cell lines (5). See package insert for reference(s).
