The Agilent 400-DS Apparatus 7 reflects our commitment to innovative automation and integration for drug release testing. It’s designed for small-volume dissolution testing of medical devices, extractables and leachables, and other extended-release combinatorial drug products.
The Agilent 400-DS Apparatus 7 is a modified version of the Apparatus 7 with extra features. Initial development was for drug-eluting stent testing under accelerated conditions. The 400-DS is used for dissolution testing for a large variety of other products, such as transdermals, implants, contact lenses, and medical devices. These tests require ultralow volumes in the 5–10 mL range, with absolute control over evaporative losses and assurance of analytical sample integrity.
Several dissolution testing milestones are represented in the Agilent 400-DS Apparatus 7. These advances include bathless heating, custom medical device holders, integrated autosampling, media replacement, and liquid handling. All features are built into an easy-to-use dissolution apparatus with a small footprint, ideal for QC laboratory use and for pharmaceutical product release testing.
