EPA Standards for 500, 600, and 8000 Series Methods

Environmental Protection Agency standards are reference materials developed based on EPA methods to ensure the accuracy and reliability of analytical measurements for environmental samples. Agilent provides standards of various contaminants that are recommended for specific EPA methods, including the EPA 500, EPA 600, and EPA 8000 series guidelines. All Agilent EPA standards are manufactured at our ISO 17025 and ISO 17034 accredited facility.

The EPA Method 500 series include methods and guidelines for drinking water standards designed to identify and quantify organic compounds in municipal drinking water.

The EPA Method 600 series guidelines are typically used in conjunction with the EPA 500 series to provide a comprehensive set of methods for monitoring organic pollutants in wastewater under the United States Clean Water Act.

The EPA Method 8000 series include methods for a wide range of organic compounds, including volatile and semivolatile organic compounds, pesticides, and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs). These reference materials are designed to provide a standardized approach to the analysis of organic pollutants in ground water as prescribed in the United States Resource Conservation and Recovery Act.
