PL-SCX HPLC Columns - Strong Cation Exchange for Biomolecules
PL-SCX columns consist of a macroporous polystyrene/divinylbenzene (PS/DVB) particle with a very hydrophilic coating and covalently linked to strong cation exchange functionality. The 1000 Å pore size ensures efficient mass transfer across a broad range of solute sizes.
PL-SCX particle sizes range from 5 μm to 30 μm, offering a fully scalable purification solution. The PL-SCX production process is carefully controlled to provide the optimum density of strong cation exchange moieties for the separation and purification of a wide range of biomolecules, from small peptides to large proteins.
PL-SCX media is chemically and thermally stable over a full range of HPLC conditions, including pH 1-14 and high temperature. This stability supports column sanitation and clean-up, and enables the use of denaturing conditions and stabilizing/solubilizing agents during purification.
