Bio MAb HPLC Columns
Bio MAb columns are weak cation exchange HPLC columns, packed with nonporous polymeric particles. Thorough characterization of monoclonal antibodies (MAb) includes the identification and monitoring of acidic and basic charge variants. Bio MAb HPLC columns feature a unique resin specifically designed for high resolution charge-based separations of monoclonal antibodies and similar therapeutics.
Bio MAb columns are available in 1.7 μm, 3 μm, 5 μm, and 10 μm particle sizes, providing higher resolution with the smaller particles. The Bio MAb column features a highly uniform, densely packed, weak cation exchange layer. This layer of the Bio MAb column is chemically bonded to the hydrophilic, polymeric coating of the Bio MAb column.
PEEK hardware is available for the 2.1 mm and 4.6 mm id columns with the two larger (5 and 10 μm) particle sizes. PEEK hardware can mitigate corrosion that can occur with high salt. Using PEEK fittings (p/n 5042-8957) with PEEK hardware is highly recommended.
