The Agilent 5500 compact FTIR spectrometer is designed as an at-side FTIR analyzer. The combination of high-performance optics, fixed sampling interfaces, and analytical software provides reliable information rapidly for solid and liquid samples.
The 5500 compact FTIR is now discontinued and has been replaced by the Cary 635 FTIR spectrometer. The Cary 635 FTIR is the latest ultra-compact, easy-to-use, high-performing portable benchtop FTIR system from Agilent.

- The 5500 DialPath analyzer provides the longer pathlength capabilities of transmission spectroscopy in a cell-less format
- Analyze a sample by placing a drop of the liquid on the surface of the 5500t analyzer, then rotating a second window into position to sandwich the sample
- One, three, and five-reflection diamond ATRs are available—including single reflection diamond ATR for solids and liquids identification, and multi-reflection ZnSe ATR for liquid analysis
- Intuitive software guides users through the steps of operation, while color-coded alerts indicate whether samples meet specifications
