Magnetic stir bars or star type stirrers provide uniform and thorough mixing of samples in cuvettes. The stir bars are recommended for the stirring module and Peltier thermostatted (1 x 1) cell holder. The star stirrer is recommended for Peltier thermostatted multicell holders for Cary UV-Vis systems.

Features

Magnetic stirrers are designed specifically for use with standard rectangular cells in cell holders that have magnetic stirring capability
Suitable for use with standard 10 x 10 mm cells or the specialized micro cell that includes a circular recess in the base for the stir bar (pn 6610015400)
Multi-faceted stirrer profile provides rapid vertical and horizontal mixing with a minimum of vortexing
Smooth surface ensures the stirrer bar stays close to the bottom of the vessel
Optimal coupling as the length of the stir bar is in close contact with magnetic drive mechanism
Alnico magnet encapsulated in PTFE coating for superior chemical resistance
Stir bars are autoclavable
