UV-Vis-NIR Film Holder Accessory
UV-Vis-NIR Film Holder Accessories
The film holder vertically mounts films, gels, sheets of material, or multiple filters for scanning across samples. The film holder accessories are 3-mm thick steel plates with many mounting holes for flexibility in sample size. Mylar strips prevent samples from being scratched.
The measurement length of 160 mm is for the Cary 4000, 5000, 6000i, and 7000 UV-Vis-NIR film holders.

Features
- Determine the homogeneity of a large sample by measuring the % transmission or absorbance as the sample is moved across the beam to create a %T or absorbance versus distance scan
- Automate scanning of a batch of small filters by placing several filters in the film holder—the film holder can then be driven to each filter's position for a wavelength scan
- Scan plate gels by cutting and placing them in a gel boat mounted on the film holder—the gels can then be scanned as a function of distance for area calculations
