Agilent UltiMetal Thermal Desorption Tubes are inert-coated sorbent tubes designed for VOC and SVOC sampling, air monitoring, PFAS analysis, industrial hygiene testing, emissions monitoring, and thermal desorption GC/MS workflows. Available in Tenax TA, Carbograph, Carbopack, and multisorbent configurations, these tubes support EPA TO-17, ASTM D8591, and other established analytical methods. As both a sampling device and part of the sample introduction flow path, they help support low background levels, reliable recovery, and reproducible thermal desorption GC/MS analyses.

The UltiMetal inert coating minimizes interactions on untreated stainless-steel surfaces. Improved surface inertness helps minimize adsorption and degradation, supporting consistent recovery of metal-sensitive and thermally labile compounds during sampling and desorption.

Agilent UltiMetal thermal desorption tubes are optimized for Markes UNITY‑xr and TD100‑xr systems and supplied in industry‑standard dimensions, supporting compatibility across leading platforms, such as PerkinElmer, Shimadzu, Dani, CDS, and Gerstel. Single-bed and multi-bed configurations are packed with method-compliant sorbents, including Tenax sorbent tubes, to streamline validation and method transfer. Thermal desorption tubes for air sampling are part of the Agilent Inert Flow Path portfolio; UltiMetal TD tubes extend inert surface coverage upstream of the analytical column.
