Programmable Temperature Vaporizer Inlet
The programmable temperature vaporizer (PTV) inlet for the 8890 and 7890B gas chromatography systems offers a variety of GC injection possibilities. It combines the benefits of split, splitless, cool on-column, and sample concentration (solvent elimination) modes. The PTV inlet allows both hot and cold injections and supports large-volume injection.

- Liquid nitrogen or liquid carbon dioxide cooling
- Split ratio up to 12,500:1 for 8890 GC (7,500:1 for 7890B GC)
- Maximum operating temperature of 450 °C
- Electronic septum purge flow control to eliminate ghost peaks
- Choice of Gerstel septumless head or Merlin Microseal septum head
