Terminal deoxynucleotidyl Transferase (TdT) is a 58 kDa protein that catalyses the random addition of deoxynucleotidyl residues on the 3 hydroxyl end of single-stranded DNA. TdT is present in the nuclei of T and B lymphocyte precursors.
