Anti-human CD33 antibodies for use in flow cytometry. These single-color reagents are of value to the study of acute myeloid leukemia (AML).
CD33 is a member of the Siglec family (sialic acid binding Ig-like lectins) and is also referred to as Siglec-3. The main cellular expression of CD33 is in myeloid progenitors, monocytes/macrophages and in granulocyte progenitors, while the expression is low in mature granulocytes. Together with a panel of other antibodies, the CD33 antibody is used in the initial evaluation of acute myeloid leukemia (AML).
