How It Works

A Wide Variety of Seal Types for Your PlateLoc Thermal Microplate Sealer

Agilent offers a range of PlateLoc microplate heat seals made from aluminum-based or optically clear materials with peelable, pierceable, or permanent sealants to match most microplate materials and applications, including polypropylene, polystyrene, and cyclic olefin copolymer (COC). The seal time and temperature depend on the type of microplate and seal that you are using. We recommend running optimization tests to determine the optimal seal time and temperature.

Agilent Automation Offers Modular Solutions for Flexibility in Your Lab

Agilent automation solutions can integrate with a wide range of instruments to create flexible benchtop solutions. An automated microplate sealing workstation can be created with two Agilent instruments: the BenchCel microplate handler and the PlateLoc thermal microplate sealer. With a capacity of two to six labware stacking racks, the thermal microplate sealer and microplate handler can automate the sealing of hundreds of microplates. Add a Bravo automated liquid handling platform, microplate labeler, or centrifuge for expanded applications.
