ICP-OES Injectors for Fully Demountable Torches

An ICP-OES injector is a quartz injector, or an alumina injector (also called a ceramic injector) that is used with an ICP-OES torch to deliver the sample aerosol into the plasma region.

Agilent ICP-OES injectors are available in quartz or alumina, each in four inner diameters: 0.8, 1.4, 1.8, and 2.4 mm. The quartz injector is the most economical, and the alumina injector usually has a longer life and offers easy cleaning with most matrices. Choose an injector with a smaller internal diameter (0.8 mm or 1.4 mm id) for the analysis of organic solvents. Select a 1.8 mm id quartz injector for aqueous analysis, and a 2.4 mm id quartz injector for samples with high total dissolved solids. Use a ceramic alumina injector when analyzing matrices that are rich in alkali metals, including Li-battery materials, or hydrofluoric (HF) acid digests, where an inert injector is required.

All Agilent 5000-series fully demountable torch injectors are guaranteed to fit with your Agilent instrument.
