Nebulizers for ICP-MS
ICP-MS system operates with an ICP-MS Nebulizer, in which a high velocity Argon gas stream meets a liquid stream causing filmwise breakup of the solution into a fine aerosol. The aerosol particle size should ideally be sub-10 µm with a narrow particle size distribution to achieve efficient atomization and ionization. Agilent offers a comprehensive range of ICP-MS nebulizers and supplies to solve any ICP-MS analysis challenge.
The portfolio includes standard glass concentric nebulizer (MicroMist), quartz and inert PFA nebulizers (MicroFlow and C-Flow), as well as robust Mira Mist PEEK or PTFE for high TDS samples and low-flow self-aspirating or total consumption nebulizers for your clinical or limited volume samples. ICP-MS nebulizer support is provided with a full range of accessories for all models including nebulizer cleaning tools.

Features
- Concentric nebulizers are routinely recommended for use with ICP-MS for their production of a fine aerosol with narrow size range at low flow rates.
- The MicroMist sets the standard and the MicroFlow is used for semiconductor and inert applications.
- Concentric nebulizers are available in glass for routine applications, Quartz (recommended for trace analysis of aqueous or organic samples) and PFA (recommended for semi-conductor process chemicals - providing inertness to HF and self-aspiration).
- High total dissolved solids (TDS) or samples with suspended particulates are best tolerated by parallel path nebulizers such as the Mira Mist available in PEEK or PTFE chosen for inertness to high acid concentration and solvents.
- A full range of connection accessories including UniFit and Ezy Fit sample connectors, EzyLok Argon gas connectors and tubing are available for all models, plus dedicated nebulizer cleaning tools, to make cleaning and maintenance simple.
- Ensure the longevity of your nebulizer through regular cleaning with a 5% HNO3 (v/v) bath (do not use an ultrasonic bath). Inspect and replace the nebulizer if the capillary is broken or the nebulizer tip is damaged.
