Vials and Caps for PFAS Testing

Vials and caps are pivotal for PFAS testing. PFAS testing demands precision, sensitivity, and minimal sample contamination, all of which are addressed by Agilent’s PFAS testing vials. Vials are available in three primary styles: screw top, snap top, and snap/crimp top. These vials are specifically designed to accommodate pH-sensitive samples and analyses involving sodium or heavy metals, making them ideal for PFAS testing where sample integrity is paramount.

Captiva EMR PFAS Food Cartridges

Captiva EMR PFAS Food I and II 6 mL Cartridges are designed for PFAS analysis in food matrices. They offer fast, efficient cleanup after QuEChERS extraction, eliminating the need for traditional dSPE or WAX SPE. These cartridges remove matrix interferences like carbohydrates, organic acids, pigments, fats, and lipids, ensuring excellent PFAS recovery and reproducibility. The passthrough cleanup method provides over 90% extract volume recovery, necessary for achieving ultralow LOQs in food. Increasing regulation for PFAS testing in food poses analytical challenges. Methods have been validated for PFAS in several food matrices. The methods offer improved target recovery, efficient matrix cleanup, and LOQs that meet the stringent sub-ppt maximum residue limits.

PFAS Determination in Infant Formula, Milk, and Eggs

Children are particularly vulnerable to PFAS exposure due to immature development, necessitating low PFAS levels in infant formula, milk, and eggs. A multi-residue method for PFAS analysis in infant formula, milk, and eggs was established. This method was validated based on the AOAC Standard Method Performance Requirement (SMPR) 2023.003. The method was used to determine 30 PFAS substances in infant formula, milk, and eggs.
