Fluorescent Labeling Reaction

Agilent's labeling kits use fluorescent dyes in these reactions. Described and illustrated here are the steps that the kit employs in the labeling process.

 

 
Quick Amp Labeling Kit Generates cyanine 3- or cyanine 5-labeled cRNA for oligo microarrays from as little as <50ng total RNA.

The patented procedure consists of:

  1. Converting mRNA primed with an oligo (d)T-T7 primer into dsDNA with MMLV-RT
  2. Amplifying sample using T7 RNA Polymerase, resulting in labeled anti-sense cRNA.
