Determine Arsenic Levels in Food with Confidence

Recently, there has been a growing concern over the presence and quantity of Arsenic (in both organic and inorganic forms) found in rice and rice products - including baby formula, energy bars and many gluten-free foods. In Germany, researchers found arsenic in hundreds of samples of beer, sometimes at twice the level permitted in drinking water. Due to the application of agrochemicals used until 1970 in the U.S., lead and calcium arsenate continue to persist in soils, so arsenic may still affect crops grown in contaminated soils long after application of these compounds has ceased.
