ZORBAX Rx

특징

Made from highly pure (> 99.995 %) porous silica microspheres
Available in 1.8 and 5 μm particle sizes
Stronger than older silica types
Less acidic than ZORBAX SIL, lower metal content
Low acidity and low metal content make Rx-SIL ideal for normal-phase separation of polar compounds that exhibit poor peak symmetry on more acidic silica
Rx-SIL useful for very hydrophilic compounds with high organic mobile phases in HILIC mode
Rx-C18 recommended for alternate selectivity at low pH relative to Eclipse Plus C18, Eclipse XDB-C18 and StableBond SB-C18; for higher temperature applications, StableBond is recommended
Rx-C18 higher carbon load than SB-C18 columns (12 % versus 10 %)
High stability and good peak shape for low pH applications (up to pH 8)

*ZORBAX Rx columns are designed for high stability at low pH (e.g. pH < 5). However, all silica-based packings have some solubility in pH > 6 aqueous mobile phases. Therefore when using silica-based columns under conditions of pH > 6, maximum column lifetime is obtained by operation at low temperatures ( < 40 °C) using low buffer concentrations in the range of 0.01-0.02 M. Column stability at pH>6 is also enhanced by avoiding phosphate and carbonate buffers.
