リンパ節／脾臓のマントルゾーンの B 細胞サブセットと反応します。ヘアリー細胞白血病（約 97％）と強い陽性反応を示し、また、Centroblastic, Immunoblastic Type の B 細胞性リンパ腫（約 35％）とも強く反応します。ヘアリー細胞白血病の検索および他の低分化 B 細胞性の白血病との鑑別に有用です。インターフェロン治療後の骨髄中の残在腫瘍細胞の検索にも有用です。
