Activated R-Phycoerythrin, 5 mg. R-Phycoerythrin (RPE) activated with SMCC (succinimidyl 4-[N-maleimidomethyl]-cyclohexane-1-carboxylate) (formerly ProZyme) goes through a buffer exchange step, and is filtered using a 0.45 µm membrane and stored in a sterile container. Activated R-PE can be easily conjugated to antibodies and other proteins by conventional protein cross-linking techniques without altering its spectral characteristics (see PJ31K).
