2 mL Screw Top Vials & Caps

Cap, screw, blue, certified, bonded preslit PTFE/silicone septa, 500/pk. These 9 mm blue screw caps come in 500/pks and include a bonded septum made from pre-slit PTFE/silicone septum bi-layer. This combination is suited for a broad range of applications, however, is one of the main choices for HPLC applications where the sample is less volatile and/or were snap or crimp style vials are not appropriate. This particular version is the most-widely used design for 2 mL vials. It is compatible with all wide-opening 2 mL glass and polypropylene vials, 2 mL micro vials and 2 mL High Recovery vials. While it is the most common option for 2 mL vials a close second are snap top style vials, however, they are less common. Bonded screw caps offer a more secure seal than press-fit caps due to the electrostatic bonding procedure used to adhere the cap to the septum. Use these when you need the best possible seal for your precious sample.
