These 11 mm silver aluminum crimp caps come in 1,000/pks and include a press-fit septum made from a red PTFE/natural red rubber septum bi-layer. This combination is suited for a broad range of applications and is one of the main choices for GC and GC/MS applications where the sample is more volatile or where snap or screw style vials are not appropriate. Natural red rubber is preferred by some customers due to its more maleable physical properties which results in lower needle wear. This crimp version is a great option for added security as, once crimped, the sample is secure. The user will require a either an economic manual or a premium electronic crimping/decapping tool. These caps are compatible with all wide-opening 2 mL glass and polypropylene vials, 2 mL micro vials and 2 mL high recovery vials. Each crimp cap is press-fit (non-bonded), which is the most sustainable cap option as the various components can be separated for easier disposal and recycling.
