The VW absolute specular reflectance accessory is designed to measure near-normal (7 degree), mirror-like reflectance off sample surfaces such as high-reflectance mirrors or low antireflection mirrors. Applications include determining the degree of polishing of an optical surface and measuring the film thickness of thin coatings.|Configurable in a dual bounce "W" or single bounce "V" (known-mirror) configuration, this absolute reflectance technique combines a maximum light throughput accessory with the high dynamic range Cary 4000, 5000, 6000i, and 7000 spectrophotometers to measure samples with very low reflectance such as anti-reflection coatings.

Insight Series alarm resolution systems detect and identify explosive threats in liquids, aerosols, and gels (LAGs) at airport security cabin baggage screening. Most Insight system scans take place through sealed containers (ECAC Type B measurement). However, it is also possible to screen open containers by decanting a sample and conducting an ECAC Type A measurement.|Type A or small bulk measurements require a vial, vial cap, and funnel for decanting a sample into a vial. A vial holder accessory holds the vial in the correct measurement position inside an Insight system.

The sunglasses holder accessory aids in testing the penetration of solar ultraviolet radiation (UVR) through sunglasses and sun glare filters in the range of 280 to 400 nm. The accessory can be used for testing sunglass UV transmission as well as sunglass lens uniformity.

The sample transport accessory is a movable platform that positions samples in the sample compartment. Intended for the Cary 4000, 5000, 6000i, and 7000 instruments, the accessory is used to make photometric measurements at different positions along a sample, or for wavelength and time scans at selected sample positions.|The Cary WinUV software allows measurements at nominated positions along the sample transport, but not measurements as a function of distance.
Measure multiple samples with temperature control with the thermostatted multicell holders.
Thermostatted multicell holders for Cary UV-Vis-NIR spectrophotometers provide temperature control for multiple samples. The 6x6 multicell holder consists of two sets of six staggered cell holders, allowing up to six sample cells and six reference cells to be measured in double beam mode. The multicell holders can be used at ambient temperature, with water thermostatting, or be Peltier controlled.|The thermostatted multicell holders are automatically controlled by the UV-Vis spectrophotometer software and can be used together with the Cary temperature probe to monitor sample temperature.
Facilitates extraction of tubing and ribbon cables from sample compartment in a light-tight manner.
The thermostatted accessories kit includes a special baseplate to provide light-proof seals through which plumbing and ribbon cables can pass. The Cary temperature probe accessory accurately measures temperature with Cary UV-Vis, UV-Vis-NIR, and fluorescence spectrophotometers. It can be attached for remote monitoring outside of the sample compartment or used to monitor liquid sample temperatures inside cuvettes.
Simple and effective slide-mounted, fixed angle specular reflectance measurements.
An external specular reflectance accessory (SRA) allows specular reflectance measurements to be made at fixed angles of 30°, 45°, or 60° depending on the accessory. These accessories are useful for studies of film thickness on metallic substrates and measurements of epitaxial film thickness.|The baseline is set by placing a reference material on top of the accessory and collecting the baseline. The reference material is then replaced with the sample lying face-down on top of the accessory to complete the measurement. These accessories have been designed for Cary 60, 4000, 5000, 6000i and 7000 instruments.

Hands-free sample measurements are possible with the dip probe coupler.

The Agilent microplate reader accessory turns the Agilent Cary Eclipse fluorescence spectrophotometer into a high throughput microplate reader in less than 30 seconds, for high throughput fluorescence measurements. The Agilent Cary Eclipse automated polarizer accessory enables fluorescence polarization or anisotropy to be measured with the Cary Eclipse fluorescence spectrophotometer. These measurements provide information about a molecule's orientation, conformation, and interaction with other molecules.|The automated polarizer accessory is software controlled, and automatically moves between the vertical and horizontal polarization positions. The accessory includes the motorized mechanism and the vertical and horizontal polarizers.
The Agilent manual polarizer accessory gives the Agilent Cary Eclipse fluorescence spectrophotometer the capability of measuring fluorescence polarization, which provides information about a molecule’s orientation, conformation, and interaction with other molecules.|Use the manual polarizer accessory with the Agilent cryostat accessory and all single-cell and multicell cell holders. Cleaning and maintaining the polarizers is easy, and the accessory includes a wooden storage box.

The Peltier cell holder controls sample temperature for a single sample and reference when performing UV-Vis measurements. Convert the Cary 60 UV-Vis into a remote fiber optic measurement system.
The Cary 60 Fiber Optic Coupler and the Cary 60 Dip Probe Coupler are optional accessories for the Cary 60 UV-Vis spectrophotometer. Both accessories convert the Cary 60 UV-Vis into a remote fiber optic measurement system. Remote fiber optics are useful when sterile conditions need to be maintained, high temperatures or pressures are present, radiation or hazardous material prevent direct handling of samples, measurements need to be performed inside a glove box, or when monitoring a reaction in a process bath.|The Cary 60 UV-Vis is the ideal instrument for remote measurements using fiber optics. A highly focused beam enables efficient coupling of the UV-Vis light into the optical fibers, and room light immunity means measurements can be performed outside the sample compartment, without the need to shield the sample.
