Quantitative Analysis
High-throughput quantitation workflows for confident results
- MassHunter Quantitative Analysis is the industry-leading quantitative software for mass spectrometry in pharma, food, environmental, energy, and forensic toxicology testing. The software is part of the MassHunter suite, which supports identification and quantitation of compounds using GC/MS or LC/MS.
- Samples and compounds are organized in batches for fast review and analysis. This allows for high-level review of cross-sample quality conformance and simple identification of exceptions. Individual samples can be interrogated and manually integrated if necessary. Predefined reports streamline high-throughput workflows, while custom reports address specific business or regulatory needs.
- Compatible with Agilent GC/MSD, GC/TQ, GC/Q-TOF, LC/TQ, and LC/Q-TOF
- Meeting data integrity standards - Provides the technical controls to securely acquire, process, report and store data in laboratories that must follow the compliance guidelines of FDA 21 CFR Part 11, EU Annex 11, GAMP5 as well as ISO/IEC 17025 and EPA’s 40 CFR Part 160
- Quant-My-Way features a user-configurable quant interface specific to the target workflow
- Intelligent reflex workflows include automatic reinjection for carryover, saturation, fast screening, suspect screening confirmation, and iterative MS/MS that allow the instrument to continuously acquire data while you focus on the results
- LC/Q-TOF and GC/Q-TOF Screener tool allows rapid absolute and relative quantitation of known and suspect compounds with clear labeling for compounds needing review
- Unknowns Analysis package provides qualitative insights for GC/MSD and GC/Q-TOF
- New Agilent AI Peak Integration for MassHunter software automates manual peak detection and integration during the data analysis process for phthalates and TDCPP when using single quadrupole GC/MS
- Batch-at-a-Glance allows the user to analyze, quantitate, and integrate in a single view
- Method Editor helps the user build methods through configuration or data import, calibration allows the user to find the best fit for standards and apply to samples, and parameter-free integrators reduce manual integration efforts
- Flexible reporting offered through report templates or custom reports using Report Builder

How it works
SureMass provides confidence in your results
MassHunter Quantitative Analysis has flexible data review options with advanced workflows, providing accuracy in your results. As method detection limits for analytes are lowered in new regulations, there is a need to improve the identification and confirmation of lower abundance ions. The implementation of SureMass for LC/TOF, LC/Q-TOF, and GC/Q-TOF gives you better isotopic distribution detection at lower sensitivity and higher mass match scores for additional confidence in your targeted screening results.
Simplified workflows for adduct addition improve overall compound identification
Easy adduct addition enhances your workflow by adding multiple ion species to a single compound or group of compounds within MassHunter Quantitative Analysis software. The results are automatically based on the most abundant and robust compound under the defined conditions. For example, the compound propargite has multiple ion species; however, the software determines that the [M+NH4]+ ion is the most abundant species, and the mass match score also suggests a better hit. This gives you higher confidence in your results quickly and accurately.
Boost your lab’s productivity with intelligent reflex workflows
Intelligent reflex workflows automate steps in the worklist that would otherwise require operator attention, allowing higher throughput. Workflows for LC/TQ and LC/Q-TOF overcome carryover by automatically inserting blanks, addressing targets above the calibration curve by injecting a lower sample volume, and allowing fast LC screening followed by a longer analytical run. Exclusive to LC/Q-TOF are suspect screening workflows that confirm suspects from a DIA run with targeted MS/MS, and iterative MS/MS for precursor exclusion in subsequent runs.
Applications
US EPA 1633 PFAS testing reporting template in MassHunter
Agilent has created a reporting template in MassHunter Quantitative Analysis software for labs wanting to run US EPA 1633 for the analysis of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in aqueous, solid, biosolids, and tissue samples by LC-MS/MS. This customized reporting template is available for download from Agilent SubscribeNet to all users using MassHunter Quantitation Analysis version 11.1 or higher. Instructions for implementing the US EPA 1633 report template can be found in the ReadMe documentation included within the downloaded folder.
US EPA Level 4 reporting template package
Agilent has created a reporting template package for MassHunter Quantitative Analysis for labs requiring US EPA Level 4 Reporting for GC/MS. This reporting package is available for download on SubscribeNet to customers using version 12.0 and 12.1 of MassHunter Quantitative Analysis. Instructions to implement the US EPA Level 4 templates can be found in the ReadMe documentation included within the downloaded folder.
