At Agilent we believe that diversity encompasses far more than what you can see or measure. Diversity is about recognizing and honoring all dimensions of employee identity. When employees feel connected and included, they do their best work. Our goal is to continue to drive strategies, initiatives, and programming that empower all employees to be successful at work.

We know the Agilent employee experience may vary based on gender, ethnicity, race, location, and other factors. To ensure progress toward our D&I goals, we track gender pay equity, representation of women in leadership, and the diversity index from our annual all-employee survey.

2021 accomplishments

2021 accomplishments

In 2021, we accelerated our drive toward greater diversity and inclusion. We offered unconscious-bias training to all employees, we improved our recruitment of Black and Afro-Latinx candidates, and we continued to support STEM education, particularly for students from underrepresented communities. Our efforts earned us nine prestigious awards, including a Forbes award as one of the world’s best employers of 2021.

In 2022 we expanded our D&I metrics to align with our five key elements: Attract, Retain, Engage, Develop, and Highlight. We believe this model will support a One Agilent culture that drives an exceptional employee experience throughout the full lifecycle of employment.

Beyond the numbers

At Agilent, our story is all about our people. In 2021 we launched two new employee-network groups, expanded our allyship activities, and piloted the Level Up program to help leaders develop their skills and behaviors to successfully manage diverse teams.
