E. coli Cell Culture Concentration from OD₆₀₀ Calculator

Calculator to give the concentration of E.coli cell cultures based on spectrophotometer readings at OD₆₀₀.

This calculator uses the extinction coefficients for E.coli and Yeast cultures to calculate the cell concentrations from the Optical Density (OD₆₀₀) reading taken with a spectrophototometer.

For bacterial cell cultures OD₆₀₀ of 1.0 = 8 x 10⁸cells/ml.
