Often, when a new database has been created with ChemStore (especially in standalone mode with Security Pack installed), all users will need to access the new database rather than others previously created. The new database can be made the default for all users by performing the following procedure:

1. Log into the operating system as a member of the Administrator's group.
2. Start ChemStore Review Client or ChemStation.
3. Before logging into the database, click on the Select button.
4. If the database alias is displayed in the ChemStore C/S: Select Database panel, go to step 6.
5. If the new database is not displayed in the ChemStore C/S: Select Database panel, click on the Browse... button and navigate to the location of the new database (default is \HPCHEM\ChemStor\Database). Highlight the new database name, and click Open. Provide a new alias name in the next panel, and click OK.
6. In the ChemStore C/S: Select Database panel, highlight the alias of the new database, and check the for this session and for all sessions boxes in the Set as default portion of the panel (lower right corner). Click OK.

Your new database will now be the default database in the login screen for every user who accesses ChemStore on this computer.
