The system administrator can configure multiple features for their users.  They can limit access to the acquisition software to prohibit access to anything but the WalkUp software. 

Other features included in the software:

• User and group administration including self registration, optional passwords, method/workflow access, and system status
• Remote system management for instruments connected to the OpenLab Shared Services
• Sample queue management including moving priority samples to the front of the queue
• Configuring what results are sent to the user including Data Analysis report, ASR files, and the data itself
• Administrators are alerted via e-mail or text messages when the system has an error
