Learn about new and advanced methodologies to measure metabolic pathway utilization of drug-treated cells at two scales, cellular and molecular. Kinetic measurements are made with a Seahorse instrument to determine ATP production rates specific to glycolysis and mitochondrial respiration. Separately, metabolites and lipids are extracted with a dual automated sample preparation method on the Bravo platform. Extracts are then separated with an 1290 Infinity II Bio LC system and directly analyzed with a novel combination of the new Revident LC/Q-TOF and MassHunter Explorer software. Affected pathways of interest are further interrogated with established, ready-to-deploy targeted omics methods on a new high-sensitivity LC/TQ instrument. The combined results provide deeper insight into the cellular and molecular metabolic response to drug treatment.
