Biotek Synergy neo2 xenon flash lamp light dose
Biotek Synergy neo2 xenon flash lamp light dose

Hi All, Is there a way to measure or estimate light dose (e.g. in units of mJ/cm^2 per flash) when reading fluorescence at particular wavelength/bandwidth? And what the spot size is when reading 96-well plate? The idea is to use the plate reader to photoconvert a compound (at 590 nm) and then use it immediately to measure the response (fluorescence, absorbance). Thank you!
Biotek Synergy HT microplate reader
Biotek Synergy HT microplate reader

I am trying to run the kinetics of catalase decay against H2O2 using 240 nm absorbance. I am using Biotek Synergy HT microplate reader and Gen5 software. I need the kinetics every second or 15 second at maximum for 2 minutes. I am not able to adjust the time to get reading every 15 second.

I am using a Biotek Synergy H1 microplate reader and the Gen5 software version 3.12.8. I have been trying to measure fluorescence using the machine, but I am having trouble setting the gain.
Sudden Spikes or Drops in A340 Kinetic Reads on Agilent BioTek Microplate Readers
Sudden Spikes or Drops in A340 Kinetic Reads on Agilent BioTek Microplate Readers
-
I’m experiencing an intermittent issue with several Agilent BioTek microplate readers (Epoch, Epoch 2, and Synergy H1) running GEN5 versions 3.14. During kinetic absorbance measurements at 340 nm in 96 well plates, one or a few wells will occasionally show a large, sudden drop—or sometimes a sharp increase—in absorbance between time points.
