How to I determine if the Turbo-V 801 SQ337 is failing on my mass spectrometer?
How to I determine if the Turbo-V 801 SQ337 is failing on my mass spectrometer?
-
I was doing a reboot of the MS system. When starting the vacuum system, the rough pump starts, the small turbo starts and gets about 1/2 way in speed then the system controller light stops flashing and turns off. The large turbo never receives the signal to start and the system fails to go under vacuum. I suspect the Vacuum System Controller Turbo-V 801 Model # SQ337 is failing. Opinions and suggestions are most welcome to help me determine if this is indeed the failing component that needs replacement.

Old Varian Cary Eclipse Fluorescence Spectrometer is not able to Scan

With the exception of the scan function, our lab's old Varian Cary Eclipse Fluorescence Spectrometer operates well. The device is most likely not the cause of the problem because the monochromator seems to be operating normally. Unfortunately, when you open the Scan software, it simply freezes during loading without displaying any failure messages. The spectrometer uses a PCI-GPIB-NI to connect to a Windows XP Professional (Version 2002-Service Pack 3) computer. We are using version 1.0(75) of the Cary Eclipse software.
