Mass-dependent dead time variability
Mass-dependent dead time variability

Hi, I read in Murphy et al. (2026) that Agilent uses a mass-dependent dead time variability to cover the full mass range (section 3.1). Is this true, and does that mean that the dead time reported by Masshunter is not what is actually being applied to the ends of the range (e.g., U and Li)? If so, is there any way to get the true dead time value for a measured mass?
MassHunter qualitative analysis 12.0 query for Average mass
MassHunter qualitative analysis 12.0 query for Average mass

There is an argument here that Deconvoluted Mass is not a term, and we should report as an Average Mass. I tried to change the parameters for deconvolution in processing method but still not getting a single average mass. The Sequence Manager particularly says Average mass or monoisotopic mass if write a sequence over there. Is there anyway how to report average mass using MassHunter qualitative analysis 12.0 or any scientific reason to report Deconvoluted mass or highest abundance deconvoluted mass.
MassHunter Qualitative Analysis Version 13.0: Recalibrate Reference Mass
MassHunter Qualitative Analysis Version 13.0: Recalibrate Reference Mass

I realized that I was incorrectly referencing one of the two negative lock masses in my method. I read that you can "recalibrate" the data file by simply right-clicking on the TIC and select "Recalibrate". However, Version 13 does not have that option, and I cannot find it in the Method Editor either.
High RSD on mass 7 during Performance Report
High RSD on mass 7 during Performance Report

Hi all, I am getting high RSD (7.2%) and low counts (2738.04) on mass 7 (Li) from the performance report during the startup sequence on my 7700. The other masses, 89 and 205, have good sensitivity and RSD values. This seems peculiar as if it were a sample feed issue, then the sensitivities off all the masses would be affected. Skimmer, sample cone, graphite ring, tubes and glassware all swapped/clean/replaced etc. Any tips? Many thanks!
