Bond Elut Enhanced Matrix Removal – Lipid is designed to extract lipids from high-fat samples.
Bond Elut Lipid Extraction SPE 1 mL cartridges and 2 mL 96-well plates provide highly selective and efficient extraction of lipids for lipid analysis, lipid profiling, and lipidomics workflows.
Enables selective, effective lipid/matrix removal without analyte loss.
ND (non-drip) cartridges and plates enable uniform flow to prevent filter clogging and good filtrate recovery.
Captiva EMR Lipid Solvent Compatibility

Greetings, We are interested in trying EMR lipid cartridges for cleanup of nonpolar extracts (targeting PAHs, PCBs, etc.). I understand that the cartridges need to be activated with a certain quantity of water + water-miscible solvent, but are there any concerns regarding performance with stronger solvents such as acetone, hexanes, isooctane, toluene, etc.? I have seen that the efficiency of some other sorbents targeting lipids/fatty acids are harmed by more nonpolar solvents, and acetone in particular (but this was more related to primary-secondary-amine phase interactions rather than the polarity of the solvent per se).
Deconvolution software for peak separation of lipid regioisomers
Deconvolution software for peak separation of lipid regioisomers

We are analysing lipid regioisomers and so far we found a chiral column that can do this. However, we need to run the LC isocratically (99.5% acetonitrile, 0.5% 90/10 isopropanol/acetonitrile + 1mM ammonium formate + 0.1% formic acid). Now, we want to reduce the runtime but this causes the peaks to overlap. Because they are lipid regioisomers, they have the same fragmentation pattern, and so that only way for separation is by chromatography. 1. Is there any software that can deconvolute the peaks?
Fractionation of lipids using NH2 SPE Cartridge

I’m Yutaro, a university student in Japan. I would like to inquire about the classification of lipids using NH2 SPE cartridges. Using Bond Elut NH2 SPE cartridges (500 mg, 3 mL), I'm trying to fractionate lipids into the neutral lipid (NL) and phospholipid (PL) fractions.

Some COVID-19 vaccines are using lipid-based nanoparticles to act as drug delivery systems for effective on-target payload delivery. Just like any finished product components, lipid nanoparticle components—like pegylated lipids, cholesterol, ionizable cationic lipids, and cryoprotectants—must be verified for ID at receipt before use in vaccine manufacturing. In a recent application note, the Vaya handheld Raman spectrometer , based on spatially offset Raman spectroscopy (SORS) , was shown to probe through opaque and transparent containers and ID the different components used in the making of lipid nanoparticles for easier, low cost ID at receipt—with no sampling, no container opening, and no sampling booth required.
