Hola Tenía un detector NPD instalado en un 7890 y hacía el cambio del Blos Bead cada 3 a 5 meses. Actualmente he instalado el detector NPD en un 8890 y debo reemplazar los Blos Bead todos los meses.
DAD detector vs VWD detector
DAD detector vs VWD detector

Hello everyone, I hope you're all well. I've been reading some Agilent manuals and I don't fully understand the case presented to us. We have a system that, when run through DAD (G7117C - 4 µL), doesn't get a response from the active ingredient. But when run through VWD (G1314F - 5 µL), the peak is perfectly defined. When acquiring the spectrum between 190-400 nm, we see that the mobile phase has high absorbance up to approximately 220 nm, and for this reason, we couldn't adapt the system to a DAD. In a previous DAD model (G4212B - 4 µL) we did achieve peak response but it was very low which made system adaptation difficult. The fact that the VWD has a reference diode before the sample could be the reason why the absorbance of the mobile phase does not interfere with the response of the main peak? What other explanation can you think of for this case? DAD - Spectrum fixed at 214 nm DAD - Spectrum fixed at 222 nm VWD at 214 nm Regards.

In this presentation will contrast and compare the NCD and NPD GC detectors. We will talk about the pros and cons of each detector and the theory of operation. Hopefully this will help you decide what detector is best suited for your anlaysis. community.agilent.com/...
