BioTek Synergy H1: Plate Height Error with 24- and 48-Well Plates Using Lids
BioTek Synergy H1: Plate Height Error with 24- and 48-Well Plates Using Lids
-
Hello everyone, I am trying to run a bacterial growth curve on a Biotek Synergy H1, but whenever I select either a 24-well or 48-well plate, the instrument displays a warning indicating that the plate height is out of range.
BioTek Syngergy H1 Gen5 Software Signature
BioTek Syngergy H1 Gen5 Software Signature

We are using Gen5 V3.16 for our BioTek Syngery plate reader. We have an analyst that executed an experiment and saved accordingly. It will not allow signatures on this experiment and only allows signatures on the protocol.
Sudden Spikes or Drops in A340 Kinetic Reads on Agilent BioTek Microplate Readers
Sudden Spikes or Drops in A340 Kinetic Reads on Agilent BioTek Microplate Readers
-
I’m experiencing an intermittent issue with several Agilent BioTek microplate readers (Epoch, Epoch 2, and Synergy H1) running GEN5 versions 3.14. During kinetic absorbance measurements at 340 nm in 96 well plates, one or a few wells will occasionally show a large, sudden drop—or sometimes a sharp increase—in absorbance between time points.
Biotek Synergy neo2 xenon flash lamp light dose
Biotek Synergy neo2 xenon flash lamp light dose

Hi All, Is there a way to measure or estimate light dose (e.g. in units of mJ/cm^2 per flash) when reading fluorescence at particular wavelength/bandwidth? And what the spot size is when reading 96-well plate? The idea is to use the plate reader to photoconvert a compound (at 590 nm) and then use it immediately to measure the response (fluorescence, absorbance). Thank you!
