Agilent has developed the arsenic speciation kit for LC-ICP-MS for quick, accurate assessment of arsenic toxicity. The kit links Agilent LC to the Agilent ICP-MS systems, and enables analysis of individual arsenic species. A validated analytical method is included, together with a speciation column for arsenic speciation in either drinking water or urine.
Easy-fit, fixed volume sample loops for AVS MS and ADS 2 used with 7800, 7850, 7900 and 8900 ICP-MS
ICP-MS sample loops are used in conjunction with a switching valve, to fill and hold a fixed sample volume for analysis. The loop is filled during the rinse cycle, improving sample throughput and reducing component wear with high matrix samples.|ICP-MS sample loops for AVS MS (formerly the integrated sample introduction system ISIS 3) and ADS 2 are available in a range of sizes to suit your specific application needs. AVS sample loops range in volumes from 0.25 mL to 4.00 mL, with two tubing internal diameters, 1.00 mm and 2.18 mm, for high throughput discrete sampling (AVS MS) with ICP-MS. ADS 2 compatible sample loops range in volumes from 0.50 mL to 3.00 mL, with 1.00 mm internal diameters.|Choose the correct loop based on your acquisition time and set up your method parameters using our condition calculator, available in MassHunter 5.3 or above.

Agilent High Matrix Introduction (HMI) technology, supplied as standard on the 7800 ICP-MS, uses an innovative, computer-controlled, and reproducible “aerosol dilution” approach that reduces the aerosol loading on the plasma. This allows the plasma to tolerate much higher total dissolved solids (TDS) levels than the 0.1 to 0.2% that is typical for ICP-MS.|HMI “dilutes” the sample aerosol using clean, dry argon gas, completely eliminating the disadvantages of liquid dilution (time, reagent costs, risk of contamination, dilution errors).

Uses clean argon to dilute high-matrix samples, eliminating the problems of liquid dilution
Agilent Ultra High Matrix Introduction (UHMI) technology uses an innovative, computer-controlled, calibrated, and reproducible aerosol dilution approach to extend the matrix tolerance of Agilent ICP-MS systems to percent levels of dissolved solids – far beyond the normal limit for ICP-MS. |UHMI, included with the 7850, 7900 and 8900 ICP-MS systems, is a sample dilution technique, but because it uses clean argon as the diluent, it completely eliminates the potential problems of liquid dilution, including increased risk of sample contamination, leaks in tubing connections, dilution errors, waste disposal costs, and sample prep time.
Allows the analysis of high-purity and HF-containing samples
O-ring-free and manufactured from PFA for the lowest contamination levels and chemical resistance, the Agilent ICP-MS inert kit contains all components necessary to replace the standard quartz sample introduction system with parts suitable for the analysis of high-purity and HF-containing samples.|Users can choose between a demountable torch with a platinum or sapphire injector. Pt is the highest purity injector material and is recommended for semiconductor applications, although the sapphire injector gives no measurable increase in backgrounds. A PFA nebulizer is available separately.

The ICP-MS sampler cone forms part of the interface region, sampling ions from the atmospheric plasma and transitioning them into the high vacuum MS for detection. They are manufactured to stringent specifications and rigorously tested to ensure excellent batch to batch reproducibility.
