Agilent's RNase Block ribonuclase inhibitor is a recombinant form derived by molecular cloning technology.

    RNase Block does NOT inhibit:

     

  • RNase H
  • RNase T1
  • S1 nuclease
  • T7, T3, or SP6 RNA polymerases
  • Taq DNA polymerase
  • AMV or MMLV reverse transcriptases

    Specifications
      Unit Definition: One unit will inhibit 50% of the activity of 5 ng of RNase A.

    Purity: Monitored for endogenous exonuclease and endonuclease activity. Determined to be free of contaminating RNases by incubating RNA transcripts with 40 U of RNase Block Ribonuclease Inhibitor for 1 hour at 37°C and by checking for the absence of degradation.

    Storage Buffer: 20 mM HEPES-KOH (pH 7.6), 50 mM KCI, 8 mM DTT and 50% (v/v) glycerol
