Product Details
- Hybrid plate reader provides flexibility and performance with a combination of monochromator and filter optics for any microplate assay and flexible detection capabilities
- Upgradable, modular design allows you to add detection modes, gas control, and dual reagent injectors as your laboratory workflows evolve
- Variable bandwidth settings range between 9 and 50 nm, in 1 nm increments for either increased sensitivity or increased specificity
- Automated Z-focus provides the best performance for all plate types and at low volumes, adjusting reading height to deliver high-performance measurements and high-quality data
- Extended dynamic range enables signal detection across a 7 log measurement range, delivering high sensitivity in low-end measurements and preventing saturated signals in high-end measurements
- Environmental control for cell-based assays provides temperature control to 70 °C, CO2/O2 control, condensation control, and shaking to ensure consistent data for long-term live cell kinetic assays
- Dual syringe injectors with specialized tips eliminate the need for regular tubing replacement, and two tip types offer flexible use with straight tips for vigorous mixing and rapid inject/read assays or angled tips that do not disturb cell layers
- Microvolume analysis with Take3 plate measures up to 16 or 48 samples in one run, saving time compared to single-sample devices

Learn MoreAbsorbance
Absorbance refers to the ability of a substance to absorb light of a specific wavelength. In a microplate reader designed to measure absorbance, a light source illuminates the sample using a specific wavelength, selected by an optical filter or a monochromator.
Learn MoreFluorescence polarization
Fluorescence polarization (FP) measurements are made using an optical system that includes polarizing filters in the light path. Samples in the microplate are excited using polarized light. Depending on the mobility of the fluorescent molecules found in the wells, the light emitted will either be polarized or not.
