Pfu DNA ligase is a recombinant enzyme derived from Pyrococcus furiosus hyperthermophilic marine archaebacterium. It has higher ligation specificity and lower background than Tth DNA ligase.
Unit Definition: One unit will ligate to completion 0.5 µg of nicked pBluescript DNA in 15 minutes at 55°C.

Purity: Tested for the absence of endonuclease and exonuclease activities
Reaction Conditions: 4 U of Pfu DNA ligase enzyme, in 20 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 20 mM KCl, 10 mM MgCl2, 0.1% Igepal, 0.01 mM rATP, 1 mM DTT
