Overview

How it works

Economical accurate mass analysis with single quadrupole systems

Most analyses run on a single quadrupole mass spectrometer do not require accurate mass, but when required, high mass and spectral accuracy can be achieved using innovative MS calibration technology by Cerno Bioscience. MassWorks software allows confident identification of unknowns by using both accurate mass and exact isotope modeling, and easy calibration of raw MS data. This makes accurate mass molecular formula generation significantly more affordable for industries like pharmaceutical, chemical, consumer product, food safety, and organic synthesis laboratories.

Accurate mass compound identification with MassWorks

Combining MassWorks’ innovative peak shape calibration and m/z assignment algorithm with the stability and robustness of the Agilent 5977C GC/MSD or Agilent InfinityLab Pro iQ Series mass detectors delivers a powerful, easy-to-use data analysis tool. Mass accuracy will be increased by up to 100x, with up to +99% spectral accuracy for high-confidence compound ID. Unknown identification is possible without the need for high-resolution instrumentation, making MassWorks a cost-effective solution for elemental composition determination.

Seamless accurate mass analysis with your Agilent single quadrupole mass spectrometer

Use the Agilent tune solution to acquire raw scan or profile mode data required to build MassWorks calibration. The calibration data is then used to assign appropriate accurate masses to the molecular (or any fragment) ions of unknown compounds. The excellent robustness and stability of the 5977C GC/MSD or InfinityLab Pro iQ Series mass detectors allows for accurate calibration over more than one day of operation as measured by independent laboratories. MassWorks can be launched after the data acquisition is completed.
