GC Image GCxGC Software

GC Image GCxGC Software

Visualize, analyze, process, and report data produced by comprehensive 2D-GC.

  • GC Image GCxGC software is used for visualizing, analyzing, and processing information-rich data produced by comprehensive two-dimensional gas chromatography (GCxGC). Using data collected by Agilent OpenLab or MassHunter software, GC Image GCxGC software provides a comprehensive suite of tools for baseline correction and background subtraction, peak/blob detection and integration, and identification and quantification of both individual compounds and molecular groupings.
  • GC Image GCxGC software also includes extensive features for mass spectral data analysis and incorporation of MS libraries, including the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Mass Spectral Library.
  • GC Image module is used for visualizing, analyzing, and reporting on individual GCxGC chromatograms
  • GC Project module is used to manage projects with multiple GCxGC runs or injections
  • Image Investigator module is used for automated and interactive multivariate and multi-sample datasets for sample classification, fingerprinting, and marker compound discovery
  • GC Image GCxGC software recommended for analyzing data from GCxGC systems with conventional GC detectors (for example, FID) as well as multispectral data from MSD (single quadrupole MS) and vacuum ultraviolet (VUV) detectors
  • GC Image GCxGC-HRMS software is recommended for triple quadrupole and Q-TOF MS users who primarily need to process high-resolution MS or MS/MS data

Overview

Technology

Multidimensional Gas Chromatography

Multidimensional chromatography introduces a second column with a different stationary phase into the flow path. Complex samples often have coeluting compounds so adding the selectivity of an additional column through heart cutting or GC x GC increases the GC resolving power and provides a solution to the problem of overlapping peaks.
