G1701EA Revision E.02.02 SP2
This service pack revision incorporates updates to GC drivers
and enhancements/fixes for GC/MS hardware and software.
Warning: G170EA E.02.02 SP2 requires that E.02.02.1431 be already installed on
the PC. It can be installed over
E.02.02.1431 and E.02.02 SP1.
It is not necessary to uninstall E.02.02 SP1 before installing E.02.02 SP2. If
either SP1 or SP2 is uninstalled, the base version (E.02.02.1431) must be
uninstalled and re-installed to produce a functioning system.
Here is what is new or changed in this revision.
GC Drivers
· 78xx GC driver (5.02.021) that supports an updated revision of the 78xx GC firmware.
· 68xx GC driver (6.21) that supports an updated revision of the 68xx GC firmware.
GC and MS Firmware
· MSD Productivity ChemStation E.02.02 SP2 requires MS firmware revision 5.02.12 or 5.02.14.
Instrument Control Enhancements
· Added Problem Steps Recorder menu item under Help menu in Instrument Control
· Added support for Resource Conservation (under Instrument > GC Configuration) on 7890B systems or 7890A+ systems:
1. Customizing method for GC Sleep/Wake/Conditioning

GC Drivers

Headspace Drivers
· New Headspace driver that supports the G1888, 7697A, G1289B and G1290B Headspace samplers.
· Only LAN communication is supported with the G1888 and7697A Headspace samplers.
· Only RS-232 communication is supported for the G1289B and G1290B Headspace samplers.
GC Hardware
· Added support for the 150-vial 7693 ALS Tray on the 5975E (7820A GC) GC/MS.
· Support for the 5975T Low Thermal Mass (LTM) GC/MS.
GC and MS Firmware
· The GC firmware version must be the appropriate version listed above or later.
· The minimum required GC firmware is included on the MSD ChemStation Installation CD.
· MSD ChemStation EA.02.02 requires MS firmware revision 5.02.09. This revision supports a new instrument controller card and is backwards compatible with older controller cards.
· The MS firmware is included as part of the MSD ChemStation installation, and is loadable via the MSD Instrument Configuration program.
Instrument Control Enhancements
· Added support for save sequence file (*.S) to ECM during data acquisition.
· Improved the “Retrieve entire sequence” from ECM operation.
· Improved barcode support to enable barcodes with 60 characters.
· Added Zip menu item under the Method menu in Instrument Control.
Data Analysis Enhancements
· Added Zip menu item under the File menu in Data Analysis.
· Added specific RI and RT fields to the library (*.L) format.
· Added support for FID only data in the Performance Report.
