Agilent's IVI-COM (Interchangeable Virtual Instruments - Component Object Model) drivers meet the IVI Foundation's
specification announced in October 2002 and are based on Microsoft's® industry standard COM architecture.
IVI-COM drivers are tightly integrated with Agilent's T&M Toolkit
and optimized for any open industry standard software development environment, including Microsoft Visual Studio® .NET, Visual
Basic, and Visual C++.
Agilent's IVI-COM drivers simplify instrument control when you are working in a COM-compatible environment. IVI-COM allows you to programmatically control
your instrumentation and take measurements while providing a greater degree of instrument interchangeability and code reuse. Agilent’s IVI-COM drivers support the use of IntelliSense for even greater ease-of-use within a Microsoft development environment.
You can download IVI-COM drivers today by going to the
IVI-COM Drivers and Components section of the ADN Drivers: by Driver Type. IVI-COM drivers are available for many Agilent instruments including power
supplies, function generators, multimeters, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and switches.
For more information on IVI-COM standards and IVI-COM drivers, go to the IVI-COM Briefs and Papers section of the ADN Knowledge Library. Information available includes:

Agilent is a member of
the IVI Foundation, a consortium of T&M instrument manufacturers, system
integrators and customers. We are committed to and are actively supporting the
ongoing IVI standard development effort, as well as the effort to make IVI-COM
drivers available for all your connectivity needs. For more information on the
