| Agilent's activities can have
positive and negative impacts on the environment and on occupational
health and safety. In our EHS management system, activities that
can interact with the environment or health and safety to create
impacts are called aspects.
Each year, we review our activities to identify
aspects of our operations and products that may have significant
EHS impacts. This review contributes to the development of EHS-related
objectives and targets for the coming year.
When developing the objectives and targets, the
significant aspects are considered alongside the available technological
options; our financial, operational, and business requirements;
and the views of interested parties.
The process of identifying and maintaining a current list of significant
EHS aspects provides Agilent with a framework for understanding
the important EHS issues and for making management decisions.
